CNIC application delayed beyond 30 days

Learner driving permit should be issued same day upon application with valid CNIC and medical certificate.
International driving license delay
International driving permit should be issued within 3-5 working days for valid license holders.
Wrong information on driving license
You have the right to correct errors on your driving license at no extra cost if the error was made by the issuing authority.
Employer not paying salary on time
Under Pakistan labour laws, wages must be paid by the 7th of each month. Delayed salary is a violation of your legal rights.
Wrongful termination without notice
Under labour law, permanent employees are entitled to one month notice or salary in lieu. Wrongful termination can be challenged in Labour Court.
No appointment letter or employment contract
Every worker has the right to a written appointment letter stating terms of employment, salary, and benefits.
Working overtime without extra pay
Overtime work must be compensated at double the normal rate. Forced unpaid overtime is illegal under labour laws.
Workplace harassment
Every worker has the right to a safe workplace free from harassment. Protection Against Harassment of Women at Workplace Act applies to all workplaces.
No EOBI or social security registration
Employers must register employees with EOBI and Social Security. You have the right to these benefits after employment.
Defective product with no refund or replacement
Under Consumer Protection Act, you have the right to refund, replacement, or repair for defective products within warranty period.
Overcharging above printed price
Shops must sell at printed or displayed price. Overcharging is illegal under Price Control and Prevention of Profiteering laws.
Fake or substandard medicine sold
Selling fake medicines is a serious crime. You have the right to safe, genuine medicines and can report violations.
Online shopping fraud
Online sellers must deliver products as described. Non-delivery or fraud can be reported to FIA Cyber Crime and Consumer Protection authorities.
Restaurant unhygienic food causing illness
You have the right to safe food. Food businesses must maintain hygiene standards under Punjab/Municipal food laws.
Electricity overbilling or wrong meter reading
You have the right to accurate billing based on actual meter reading. You can request meter testing if bill seems incorrect.
Frequent unscheduled load shedding
While load shedding schedules exist, excessive unscheduled outages can be reported. Urban areas have minimum supply guarantees.
Gas supply disconnected without notice
Gas companies cannot disconnect supply without prior notice except in safety emergencies. Wrongful disconnection is challengeable.
Water supply issues or contaminated water
Citizens have the right to clean drinking water. Water and Sanitation Agency (WASA) is responsible for water supply in major cities.
New electricity connection delay
New electricity connections should be provided within 30 days of application with complete documents and payment.
Internet service provider poor service
Under PTA regulations, ISPs must provide service as per package. Chronic poor service is grounds for complaint and refund.
Police officer took or retained CNIC
Police cannot confiscate your CNIC without legal authority and proper documentation. CNIC is your fundamental identity document.
Police not registering FIR
Under Section 154 CrPC, police MUST register FIR for cognizable offenses. Refusal to register FIR is illegal and you can complain to senior officers.
Police harassment or illegal detention
Police cannot detain you beyond 24 hours without magistrate order. Harassment and illegal detention are violations of fundamental rights.
Police demanding bribe
Demanding bribe is a criminal offense under the National Accountability Bureau and Anti-Corruption laws. You are protected when reporting.
Character certificate delay from police
Police character certificates should be issued within 7 working days for employment and visa purposes.
Traffic police issuing wrongful challan
You have the right to challenge traffic challans in traffic court if wrongly issued. Video evidence strengthens your case.
Government office employee absent or not serving public
Government employees are paid to serve citizens during office hours. Absenteeism and refusal to serve are misconduct.
Land record (fard) not being provided
Every landowner has the right to obtain copy of land record (Fard) from Patwari or Land Record office.
Birth certificate not issued by union council
Every birth must be registered and birth certificate issued by Union Council or NADRA within 60 days of birth.
Pension not being disbursed to retired government employee
Retired government employees have the right to timely pension disbursement. Delays beyond 3 months are actionable.
School not providing required documents
Schools must provide transfer certificates, character certificates, and result cards to students upon request.
Garbage not being collected
Municipal corporations are responsible for waste collection. Regular collection is a basic municipal service.
Street lights not working
Municipal authorities must maintain street lighting for public safety. Non-functional lights should be repaired promptly.
Illegal construction in neighborhood
Citizens can report illegal construction that violates building bylaws. Municipal authorities must take action.
Potholes and damaged roads not repaired
Road maintenance is the responsibility of municipal or highway authorities. Damaged roads must be repaired for public safety.
Encroachment on public land or footpath
Public land and footpaths belong to citizens. Encroachment by shops or individuals is illegal and can be reported.
Domestic violence
Domestic violence is a crime under Pakistan Penal Code and Domestic Violence Act. You have the right to protection, shelter, and legal action.
Workplace harassment of women
Protection Against Harassment of Women at Workplace Act 2010 protects all women. Employers must have Internal Complaint Committee.
Denied right to education
Article 25-A of Constitution guarantees free education for children 5-16 years. Denying girls education is a violation of fundamental rights.
Property rights denied to women
Islamic law and Pakistani law guarantee women's share in inheritance. Denying inheritance is illegal and challengeable in court.
Forced marriage or marriage without consent
Forced marriage is illegal under Pakistan Penal Code Section 498-B. Marriage requires free consent of both parties.
Stalking or online harassment
Stalking and cyber harassment are crimes under PECA 2016 and PPC. You have the right to protection and legal action.
NICOP application for overseas Pakistanis delayed
NICOP (National Identity Card for Overseas Pakistanis) should be processed within 30 days of complete application.
Minimum wage not being paid
Provincial minimum wage must be paid to all workers. Current minimum wage varies by province but must be complied with.
Bank charging hidden fees
Banks must disclose all charges transparently. Hidden or unauthorized charges can be disputed with State Bank.
