HaqAI was built to bridge the gap between Pakistani citizens and the information they need to exercise their rights. We believe every citizen deserves to know their rights, understand government procedures, and have the tools to hold institutions accountable — without needing a lawyer or insider connections.

Ordinary Pakistani citizens — students, workers, parents, shopkeepers, and anyone who has ever felt helpless dealing with government departments, police, employers, or utility companies. HaqAI speaks your language, literally and figuratively.

HaqAI combines a curated knowledge base of 50+ Pakistani civic issues with AI-powered guidance (GPT-4o) and a local fallback mode that works without any API key. Built with Next.js 15, TypeScript, and a RAG architecture designed for easy scaling to vector databases.

HaqAI was built as a hackathon MVP to demonstrate how AI can democratize access to civic information in Pakistan. This is a starting point — with plans to expand coverage, add voice input, integrate with government complaint portals, and build a community of citizen advocates.
